BLENDING IN and STANDING OUT
FAMILY WEEKEND RETREAT JUNE 14-16th, 2013
For Texas families with children who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind or deaf with other disabilities, birth through 21 years old. All family members welcome!
As the parent of a child who is deaf or hard of hearing how do we know when and how to effectively take the lead and ” STAND OUT” in regards to our child’s education and social/emotional development and when should we “ BLEND IN” and teach our children to take the lead? Join us and learn from other parents, professionals and deaf and hard of hearing adults.

FWR is growing! We listened to your comments and added more workshop topics for parents –more sessions related to hard of hearing and mainstreamed students will be included, as well as topics related to children with multiple disabilities. More time for parents to informally network with each other has also been added to the agenda.
Come learn about Communication Opportunities, Transition Services, Literacy, Technology, Special Ed Law, IEP/ARD information, Cochlear Implants, Sign Language, Deaf Culture, Early Childhood Intervention Services and more!
ONLY $75 for a family of four – includes all meals, lodging, workshops and children’s activities!
$10 for each additional family member.
$25 late fee applies after May 15, 2013
