LaGesse takes position at school for deaf
Denise A. LaGesse of Buda, Texas, formerly of Superior, has attained the position of residential supervisor at the Texas School for the Deaf in Austin, Texas.
She will start her new position Aug. 14 and supervise both the elementary and middle school girls dormitories.
The Texas School for the Deaf was founded in 1856 and had four students. It is the oldest continuously operating public school in Texas, serving grades K-12.
Denise graduated from the Wisconsin School for the Deaf in Delavan, Wis., and Gallaudet University for the Deaf in Washington D.C.
At Galludet, she was a founding member and president of the Delta Zeta Sorority.
She is the daughter of Gerald and Janice LaGesse of Buda, Texas, formerly of Superior.
Denise is enjoying a trip to Central America before assuming her new duties.
