FALL FESTIVAL FUNDRAISER at TEXAS SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF – OCTOBER 19, 2013
LIVE MUSIC, COSTUMED 5K, CARNIVAL, HAUNTED HOUSE +
BEETLEJUICE ON THE BIG SCREEN

Austin, Texas – October 19, 2013  Don’t miss the 2nd annual Fall Festival & Run For All at the Texas School for the Deaf, Saturday, October 19, 2013, at 5:30 p.m.

Supporting Language For All – a grassroots marketing campaign to help raise awareness and funds for the benefit of Texas School for the Deaf (TSD) – the TSD Foundation hosts this second annual event on the school’s south Austin campus, at 1102 South Congress Avenue. 

The 5K at 6:15 p.m. will take runners around two loops inside TSD’s secure campus grounds. It is a timed event for runners, and a fun Run For All for any groups, teams and participants who wish to participate in costume. Bring your co-workers, friends and family! 5K participants are invited to “Show Your Bib” for one free drink at Freddie’s Place for the after party at 9:00 p.m.

Festival activities, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., include carnival games and booths from $1.00-$5.00/each, a haunted house, pumpkin decorating, face painting, Halloween photo booth, live music, and a free, captioned, under-the stars screening of Beetlejuice at 8:00 p.m. Local trailer food vendors will be open 5:30-10:00 p.m. 

Free parking is available at One Texas Center, 505 Barton Springs – at the corner of Barton Springs Road and South First Street, behind Threadgill’s and the City of Austin office building. Austin’s unique pedicabs will be standing by for transport to and from the Festival grounds. 

Registration for the 5K, includes a commemorative t-shirt, and Festival admission for only $30.00.
Festival entrance only is $10.00, and includes two carnival booth tickets. Additional tickets can be purchased onsite for $1.00 each.

Participants should bring cash for food trailers and pedicabs, and to purchase additional carnival and booth tickets.
 
WHAT: The Texas School for the Deaf (TSD) Foundation announces the 2nd Annual Fall Festival & Run for All, including: a costumed 5K on TSD’s campus, live music and festival with carnival games, local trailer food vendors, captioned, under-the-stars screening of the movie-Bettlejuice & after-party!!!
 
WHEN: Saturday, October 19, 2013, 5:30 – 10:00 p.m.

5:30 p.m. Festival gates open
Live Music: Kimball & Painter, until 6:10 p.m.
Carnival booths/games, open until 8:30 p.m.
Local food trailers, serving until 10:00 p.m.

6:15 p.m. 5K: Runners take two loops around the TSD campus
6:45 p.m. Live Music: Austin’s Bluegrass Phenom, Ruby Jane Smith, until 7:00 p.m.

8:00 p.m. Popcorn & Movie: Beetlejuice – Under-the-Stars, captioned, on the Big Screen, until 10:00 p.m., presented by Alamo Drafthouse
9:00 p.m. After-party!  At Freddies’s Place – 1703 South First Street, until 11:30 p.m.; Show ‘em your race bib for one free drink
