You are invited to a free 'Learning About Bees' expo at the Southfork Hotel in Plano! This event will be ASL interpreted by 2013 American Honey Queen, Caroline Adams.
The Texas Beekeepers Association invites you to this fun, FREE family event at the Southfork Hotel Saturday, Nov. 9 from 9 a.m.-noon. Experience the fascinating world of honey bees through a series of interactive displays and educational stations manned by experienced beekeepers of all ages:
– See live honey bees up-close in a glass observation hive
– Learn how honey comes from hive to table
– Discover the honey bee’s most important job: pollination
– Explore the beekeeper’s toolbox and handle real beekeeping equipment
– Roll your own beeswax candle
– Take a visual tour of the honey bee’s world through educational posters and handouts
– Meet Buzzy Bear and the Honey Queens and Princesses from around the state
– Find answers to your bee-related questions
– Browse the convention tradeshow for other bee-related items
– Learn how YOU can be a beekeeper, too!
