Rodney Len Fields, 44, died Monday, January 27, 2014.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Paramount Baptist Deaf Church with Pastor Darrell Bonjour as eulogist. Arrangements are by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes St.
Rodney Len Fields was born Jan. 7, 1970, in Memphis to Nellie Faye Grays and R.L. Fields. He spent his childhood days in Amarillo before leaving to attend Texas School for the Deaf in Austin, where he graduated in 1988. He worked at several business establishments, including Amarillo Hardware, Target and FedEx. He was a member of Paramount Baptist Deaf Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, R.L. Fields, and a sister, Pamela Hendrix.
Survivors include his mother, Nellie Faye Grays of Amarillo; his wife, Patricia Haro-Fields of San Angelo; a son, Roderick Fields of Amarillo; two daughters, Jessica Haro and Jacqueline Fields, both of San Angelo; three brothers, Cecil Hendrix of Manona, Iowa, and Joe Hendrix and wife Elizabeth and Garrick Hendrix and wife Latasha, all of Amarillo; and a sister, Robbie Maddox and husband Jerome of Killeen.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
