My name is Shanna Sorrells. I am Deaf and fluent in ASL. I am currently working with a non-profit org called Southern United Neighborhoods, and I am reaching out to people who are Deaf and/or have disabilities across the state of Texas.
I am a federally certified navigator to help people obtain information and register for the Affordable Care Act known as Obamacare. All U.S. citizens are required by law to have health insurance. If they are not covered with health insurance by March 31, 2014, they will have to pay a fee. Some people may be eligible for an exemption though.
If you know of anyone who would like assistance with signing up for the Affordable Care Act or want to learn more about it, do let me know. If you need to make an appointment to sign up for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act, or apply for an exemption, please contact me. If you have an event coming up anytime soon, I’d love to set up a time/date to have an informational table for people.
All my services are free. My one-on-one appointments are free as well. I am required by law to keep all information confidential, and am required to present non-biased, impartial information about health plans available for people. I am not affiliated with any health insurance companies whatsoever. I serve as a guide for the sign-up process; that’s it!
Southern United Neighborhoods can be reached at 1-800-239-7379 for anyone who wants help with Affordable Care Act health insurance process. I personally can be reached at 512-537-8860 (VP) between 12pm and 2pm on Mondays. Thanks again!
All the best,
Shanna Sorrells
