When backwoodsman Adam Pontipee comes down out of his mountain to find himself a bride from town in 1850’s Oregon, there’s an instant attraction when he sees Milly. She’s a sweet and sassy gal who happily marries him and heads back up the mountain for an idyllic life with Adam – and his six rowdy brothers. Add six abductions of six town beauties, an avalanche, and a long, long winter and you’ve got the plot for SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS, a truly rambunctious musical.

Based on the MGM movie of the same name, “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” was considered to be a “sleeper” when it was released in 1954 with Jane Powell and Howard Keel as its stars. The modestly-budgeted film surprised everyone by becoming an enormous hit, even being nominated for an Academy Award as Best Picture. It’s still considered one of the most entertaining movie musicals ever made.

Featuring well-loved songs such as “Goin’ Courtin” and “Bless Your Beautiful Hide”, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is a classic for all ages that you will want to see, not once but many times.
