FCC Launches Support Line for Consumers Who Are Deaf & Hard of Hearing Using ASL over Videophone
Direct video access to the FCC has finally become a reality for deaf and hard of hearing consumers who communicate mainly in American Sign Language (ASL). The FCC has launched a new video consumer support service, the ASL Consumer Support Line, so people who are deaf and hard of hearing can participate in a direct video call with a consumer specialist at the FCC. Until now, the only way they had to communicate with FCC was through relay services or by filing a complaint form online.
