Kenneth Russell Keith, 72 of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on Tuesday July 8, 2014.

Kenneth was born in Gilmer, Texas on June 9, 1942 to the late Omega and James Keith of Dallas. Ken attended Gallaudet University in Washington D.C. for two years, where he met the love of his life, Sharon. Ken graduated high school from Texas School for the Deaf in Austin in 1960. He later married his beloved wife, the late Sharon Mary Roth, on June 26th, 1965.

Ken moved away to California with his wife and daughter in 1980 and was a member of the community in Fremont, California for 34 years. He had always wanted to come back to Texas to be near his family and to a place he forever called ”home”. In May of 2014, Ken moved to Heritage Square Assisted Living for the Deaf and Visually Impaired in Fort Worth. There he was able to fulfill his last wish before leaving his family for good.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Susan Keith Camacho and son-in-law Richard Camacho.

He is also survived by siblings Barbara Smith of Ector, Texas, Jonell Keith of Carrollton, Texas, Dennis Michael Keith of Dallas, Texas, and Janie Richards of Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Sharon Keith, his Mother and Father, his brothers, Sonny and Charles, and sister, Jeannie.

A memorial service will be held at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral home located at: 601 S. Tennessee Street in McKinney, Texas at 11:00 am Saturday, July 26th, 2014. Reception to follow from 12-2 pm at The Surrey House & Gardens, located at: 312 S. Tennessee Street McKinney, Texas.
