Presents a 6 hour workshop (. 6 BEI CEU’s): with Kim Hunt
X-rays, tweezers, blood and Band-aids! This workshop will cover the unique situations and skills needed for medical interpreting scenarios. What does this unique specialization interpreting involve? Protocol, strategies, resources, culture and vocabulary will be reviewed. There will be discussion, resources shared and fun interaction activities. Walk out with a prescription for success.

Kim Hunt – NIC Master, Texas BEI IV, Texas Certified Court. She has been in the interpreting profession for more than 29 years, which includes areas of community, education, legal, medical, religious, and video-relay interpreting. She has presented on various topics on the local, state and national level. One of her passions is to share knowledge in an energetic, non – threatening environment and her application focuses on real world examples and sharing feedback from the Deaf community.
