“Qualified to Interpret?”, Thursday, October 30, 2014
What is a qualified interpreter? The answer you most likely will get is: “it depends”. How to get around this answer and make an appropriate response? In this webinar, you will learn a number of factors to help determine if an interpreter is qualified for any particular assignment. The webinar participants will take into account federal, state and agency policies that define the term “qualified.” Join us to review these definitions and to learn what interpreter competencies are needed to ensure effective communication for the community we serve.
This session is geared to educational interpreters K-12.
