North of the Border Games for the Deaf – Corpus Christi

Hello!

I am Jon Manning, and I work as Resource Support Specialist at the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Center here in Corpus Christi, TX. The reason why I am contacting you is about a upcoming event which I am the chairperson for. This event is called North of the Border Games for the Deaf (NBGD). It is an all sports/games event for every Deaf community in Texas to come together to compete and be social. It will be at Tuloso-Midway High School here in Corpus Christi.

NBGD has been going on since 2001 among three South Texas cities – Corpus Christi, McAllen, and Brownsville. It is a whole day of events such as basketball, volleyball, soccer, dodgeball, table games and many more. This year is the first time that we are inviting every Deaf community in Texas to come and participate in NBGD.

New this year at NBGD is that every registered participant will be split into 4 teams to learn how to work as a team or individual, to compete and to have fun.

The registration fee will be $15.00 dollars each participant (5.00 for entrance fee and $10.00 for a team shirt). The Deadline to register will be on April 7, 2015. If LATE registration, the fee will add $5.00 ($20.00 instead of $15.00). Because of time notice with ordering shirts which takes 2 weeks prior.
