Job Description:
Rehabilitation Svcs Tech II Works under the supervision of the Management, Support Specialist with the approval of the Area Manager. Working collaboratively as a member of the rehabilitation team, performs complex technical support work utilizing the DARS case management system to support the Rehabilitation Counselor in providing timely services to consumers in order to achieve successful outcomes. Establishes and maintains appropriate business
relationships with providers, consumers and staff. Provides Information regarding Division for Rehabilitation Services (DRS) programs, services and referral information; caseload support services to include assistance to assigned counselors; purchasing of consumer equipment and supplies; assistance with consumer budget management utilizing automated systems and tools; caseload management support; purchasing and financial monitoring; interviewing applicants and collecting information to expedite quality case service delivery. Performs other duties as assigned to maintain efficient and effective operation of the Unit. Work is performed in support of the Mission, Goals and Values of DRS. Work is performed under general supervision with latitude for initiative and
independent judgment.

Essential Job Functions:
Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. Provides office support as a member of the office team. Provides information regarding DRS Programs and services to applicants, consumers, families and the general public. Conducts consumer purchasing activities, in accordance with established policies, procedures and best business practices. Provides assistance in caseload support and management. Provides assistance in consumer budget management.

Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Skilled in effective oral and written communication. Skilled in personal computer operations performing keyboarding and mouse functions utilizing a personal computer in a Windows based environment. Skilled in maintaining accurate files. Skilled in applying purchasing procedures. Ability to interpret policies and procedures. Ability to utilize and interpret management information systems data. Ability to operate with high professional standards. Ability to
establish and maintain effective working relationships, and work as a team member. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and coordinate work in an independent manner to achieve goals. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to analyze and interpret financial data. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Knowledge of budget planning and monitoring procedures. Knowledge of community resources. Ability to

Initial Selection Criteria:
Eighteen months experience in office practices and office support work. Utilizing a personal computer in a Windows’ based environment and demonstration of the KSAs in the RST II job description. American Sign Language Preferred Not Required

Additional Information:
This is a career ladder position, and, depending on required qualifications and experience, may be filled at any level from a Rehabilitation Services Technician II to Rehabilitation Services Technician IV. The starting salary range is $2075.83 to a maximum of $3771.41. Salary and position level will be based on the qualifications of the selected applicant as they relate to career ladder promotion eligibility requirements. Factors such as education, credentials and
experience should be considered when establishing the starting salary. The starting salary for current agency employees and employees transferring directly from another HHS agency will be based on Chapter 7 – Compensation, Section D – Starting Salaries, Subsection Salaries for Certain Inter-Agency and Intra-Agency Transfers.
