Americans with Disabilities Act 25th Anniversary Celebration Ceremony – Austin

The Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS), in partnership with other Health and Human Services state agencies and in collaboration with stakeholders and community partners, is proud to present: “Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 25th Anniversary Celebration Ceremony “Empowerment, Independence, and Access for All”

The ADA opened the doors for millions of Americans with disabilities to receive equal opportunities in employment, to live independently in their homes and communities and to fully participate in society. DARS’ mission is to work in partnership with Texans with disabilities and families with children who have developmental delays to improve the quality of their lives and to enable their full participation in society. DARS is honored to host this event to commemorate this important Act and the benefits it has provided to consumers and others.
