This position is located at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) in the Corporate Operations and Total Force Directorate (SEA 10); Civilian Human Resources Division (SEA10H) in the Equal Opportunity/Diversity Branch (SEA10H4). You will be the Sign Language Interpreter and subject matter expert providing interpreting service in a wide range of settings for Deaf and hard of hearing employees as well as advising management regarding cultural and linguistic issues related to Deaf and hard of hearing employees. You will also provide training and instruction in Deaf cultural Awareness and American Sign Language for NAVSEA. The Code of Professional Conduct, keeping information strictly confidential and refraining from offering personal opinions while interpreting, must be followed.

Certification through the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf is desirable but not required for this position.
