Help from FEMA for Texans who had damage to their home and property during October floods.  ASL interpreters also available upon request at the Disaster Recovery Centers.

If you or someone you know was effected by the October floods, you can register with FEMA.  You can choose one of these ways to register.

  • Go to a Disaster Recovery Assistance, ASL interpreters available upon request
  • Call 800-462-7585 (voice, 711 or relay services)
  • Online at http://www.DisasterAssistance.gov

* FEMA has designated 16 counties eligible for Individual Assistance. These include Bastrop, Brazoria, Caldwell, Cameron, Comal, Galveston, Guadalupe, Hardin, Harris, Hays, Hidalgo, Liberty, Navarro, Travis, Willacy and Wilson Counties.

Disaster Recovery Centers

Disaster Recovery Centers are operating in Bastrop, Harris, Hays, Hidalgo, Navarro, Travis, and Willacy Counties for one-on-one assistance to disaster survivors. A visit to a DRC is not required for registration. American Sign Language interpreters are available upon request at any DRC. Disaster survivors in any designated county may go to any of the following locations for help:
