Sept 21* SYDNEY
Full day guided Sydney sightseeing tour with Darling Harbour, Chinatown, Kings Cross, Bondi Beach, the 19th century Colonial Terraces, a guided tour of the Sydney Opera House, and much more. Finish the day with a Sunset cruise aboard Sydney’s most prestigious cruise ship MV Sydney 2000. The 3-course dinner includes sparkling and still wines, beer and soft drinks. (B, D)
Sept 22* SYDNEY – EXCURSION FEATHERDALE WILDLIFE PARK & BLUE MOUNTAINS
The full day guided tour with a drive through the western areas of the city. Featherdale Wildlife
Park is famous for its unique flora and fauna and the largest collection of Australian native animals in the world. Here you will have the opportunity to see Australian native animals such as Kangaroos, Koalas, Possums, Emus and native birds. Continue to the Blue Mountains and see the world famous rock formation “The Three Sisters” and enjoy distant views of Jamieson Valley, Mount Solitary and many other scenic delights. 2-cours lunch at Mountain Heritage. Sept 23* SYDNEY – AYERS ROCK
Hotel check-out. Transfer to Sydney airport. Flight to Ayers Rock (not incl. in price below). Arrival
at Ayers Rock Airport. Transfer to the hotel. Hotel check-in. Depart Ayers Rock and travel through desert plains for the short journey to The Olgas, known to the Aboriginal people as Kata Tjuta. This massive pile of rock domes dates back 500 million years. Both Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Kata Tjuta have great Aboriginal cultural significance for the Anangu traditional landowners. Enjoy a guided walk to Walpa Gorge. Learn about the local flora and fauna, bush foods and the Aboriginal Dreamtime stories of the area. In the late afternoon, travel to Uluru sunset area to witness and photograph the striking color changes that can occur on the world’s largest monolith. Enjoy a glass of wine with snacks. (B)
Sept 24* AYERS ROCK – ALICE SPRINGS
Travel to the sunrise viewing area to see the Red Centre come alight by the first rats of the morning sun. Watch the gradual rising sun changing the colors of Uluru. Return to the hotel for breakfast before your transfer to Alice Springs, Australia’s most famous outback town. Hotel check-in. 3-course dinner at the hotel. (B,D)
Sept 25* ALICE SPRINGS – BOARD THE GHAN
Morning free time. Half day sightseeing tour of Alice Springs with a panoramic view of Alice Springs from Anzac Hill Lookout and the historic Telegraph Station where the tour ends. The station was established in 1872 to relay messages between Darwin and Adelaide. Step aboard the legendary Ghan train early evening where you will be accommodated in your Sleeper Cabin. Mingle with fellow travelers in the Lounge car. Enjoy the passing scenery of the Outback while dinner is served in the classically styled Queen Adelaide Restaurant. (B,D)

Start your day with an early breakfast so that you can make the most of your time in Katherine. Join an included tour. Lying at the center of a tropical paradise, Cairns is the gateway to some of Australia’s greatest natural attractions: Great Barrier Reef and the ancient, tropical rainforests of the Daintree National Park. In the morning, Catamaran Reef Cruise to the Outer Reef location. There you can use all the following free of charge: snorkel equipment, semi-submersible reef viewer, glass bottom boat, and underwater observatory with fish feeding. There is plenty of time to enjoy the stunning coral reef and diversity of marine life. All visible because of the superior water clarity. Sept 29* CAIRNS – EXCURSION TJAPUKAI ABORIGINAL CULTURAL PARK & KURANDA
Drive to Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park to enter a magical, mystical world. The park has been dedicated to preserve and present authentic Aboriginal culture. Get fascinating insights into bush food, traditional medicine, boomerang and spear throwing. Board Skyrail, the world’s longest gondola which glides just metres above Far North Queensland’s Heritage Rainforest. Travel at tree top level. On arrival in Kuranda stroll over to the village. In the afternoon, board the Kuranda Scenic Rail. The train takes a leisurely winding tour through dense tropical forests, past majestic waterfalls and high over seemingly bottomless ravines. Transfer to Cairns airport. Flight to Melbourne (not incl. in price below). Arrival in Melbourne. Transfer to the hotel. Hotel check-in. Melbourne is ranked as one of the world’s most livable cities. The city is famous for its vibrant energy, spacious parks and village-like inner suburbs, each with its own special character. Enjoy a 3-course dinner on the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant, guaranteed to be a highlight of your visit to Melbourne. You’ll be welcomed aboard your 1948 Melbourne tram restaurant by a smiling maitre d’ and be served by a friendly, professional team of silver-service waiters. You’ll glide through the city streets while eating great food that is prepared onboard the tram. A wide choice of alcoholic beverages is available from the fully stocked bar. (B, D)
Oct 1* MELBOURNE
Discover Melbourne’s past and present during a half day city tour. Travel through the central business district, see the Victorian Arts Centre, fashionable Toorak Village and beautiful Fitzroy Gardens. In the afternoon, walk to Eureka Skydeck located at the banks of the Tarra River. Eureka Skydeck 88 is perfectly positioned for 360 degree, floor-to-ceiling views encompassing Melbourne’s central business district, sports precinct, Port Phillip Bay, Docklands and everything in between. Following Skydeck join your guide for a walk through Melbourne’s beautiful back streets and get orientated in the life of the city that locals love. 3-course dinner at a local restaurant. (B, D)
Oct 2* MELBOURNE – QUEENSTOWN
Transfer to Melbourne airport. Flight to Queenstown, New Zealand (not incl. in price below), a year-round alpine resort nestled on the shores of Lake Wakatipu. It enjoys a magnificent setting amid steep mountain ranges and pockets of native bush with the jagged peaks of the Remarkables Range rising from the lake. Transfer to the hotel. Hotel check-in. In the evening, transfer to the Skyline cable car terminal. Ascend to Bob’s Peak to enjoy a buffet dinner with fine views overlooking Queenstown & Lake Wakatipu. (B, D)
Oct 3* QUEENSTOWN – TE ANAU
This morning free at leisure in Queenstown. Later, transfer to the Steamer Wharf. Step on the boat to go on a 40 minute cruise across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak Station while taking in the spectacular views of Cecil and Walter Peaks and the western shores of the lake. The Captain provides an interesting commentary and the original steam engines can be seen in operation from the open viewing area. After disembarkation enjoy a BBQ lunch which is served at the charming Colonel’s Homestead overlooking Lake Wakatipu. Following lunch, enjoy a High Country Farm tour where you can experience farming life. There is ample time to view the farm animals – sheep, red deer and Scottish Highland cattle. Or watch the shearing of sheep and sheep dogs working stock. After the tour, view a wool spinning demonstration or stroll around on your own. Upon the return to Queenstown, transfer to Te Anau, one of the world’s most breathtaking regions. Dinner at the hotel. (B, L, D)
Oct 4* TE ANAU – MILFORD SOUND
This morning free at leisure in Te Anau. Later, transfer from Te Anau via the Fjordland National Park to Milford Sound, a place of unparalleled beauty with cascading waterfalls, luxuriant forests and the towering pinnacle of Mitre Peak. No matter what the fjord’s mood, shrouded in mist or with sun glistening on deep waters, it will inspire its visitor. Upon arrival, embark the ship for an overnight cruise. Enjoy a full length cruise of the fjord out to the Tasman Sea. There is ample time to look out for wildlife such as seals, penguins and dolphins. Go for a paddle in a kayak, or hop on board a tendercraft to explore the fjord up close. Meet with your fellow travelers for a sumptuous three-course buffet dinner in the dining saloon, followed by a Nature Guide presentation in the forward saloon. (B, D)
Oct 5* MILFORD SOUND – QUEENSTOWN
For breakfast, there are cooked and continental options available. There is time for further cruising on the fiord before returning to the Milford Wharf. Disembarkation and transfer to Queenstown via the Fiordland National Park. The afternoon is free in Queenstown. 3-course dinner at the hotel.

Oct 6* QUEENSTOWN – MOUNT COOK NATIONAL PARK – CHRISTCHURCH
Drive to Mount Cook National Park. Aoraki Mount Cook is both the highest and best known mountain in New Zealand and contains five of New Zealand’s largest glaciers. Buffet lunch at the Mount Cook National Park village. Take in the spectacular views of Aoraki Mount Cook before the tour continues to Christchurch, often referred to as the ‘Garden City’. The city features many majestic trees and extensive parks and gardens. The Avon River gently winds it way around these inner city landmarks and out through sprawling suburbs to the Pacific Ocean. In contrast to this flat cityscape and the surrounding Canterbury Plains, the skyline to the south is dominated by the tussock and rocky outcrops of the Port Hills. The hills separate the city from the volcanic Banks Peninsula and Lyttelton Harbour, where English settlers arrived by ship in 1850 to establish New Zealand’s first city. Visitors to Christchurch today will witness a virtual rebirth of the city as demolitions, repairs and rebuilding occurs following several earthquakes in late 2010 early 2011. 3-cours dinner at a local restaurant. Oct 7* CHRISTCHURCH – ROTUROA
Christchurch City sightseeing tour enroute to the airport. Enjoy the charm of the gardens, the tranquillity of the historic buildings. Visit the Canterbury Museum, Hagely Park & the Christchurch Botanic Gardens. Flight to Roturoa (not incl. in price below). Arrival in Roturoa, the centre of an extensive thermal region and geysers, bubbling mud pools and steaming, sulphurous lakes.
Transfer to the hotel. Hotel check-in. In the afternoon, relax and unwind on the tranquil shores of Lake Rotorua at the Polynesian Spa. The Spa’s 27 mineral pools are fed from two natural springs for a combination that both nourishes the skin and relieves tired muscles, aches and pains. The two types of mineral waters have been used by Maori for generations. Dinner at the hotel. (B, D)
Oct 8* ROTUROA – EXCURSION TO WAIMANGU VOLCANIC VALLEY
Drive to Waimangu Volcanic Valley which was created by the eruption of Mount Tarawera. Guided walk through the valley of craters, steaming cliffs, and lakes. Waimangu offers a range of easy ecology-focused walks through the craters of the beautiful Waimangu Volcanic Valley. The walks showcase a wide range of volcanic activity, native plants, birdlife, in one of the newest eco-systems in the world. On the return to the hotel you will see Rotorua lakefront, the city center and the beautiful Government Gardens. Visit Rainbow Springs with its springs and streams that are teeming with wild trout. This afternoon free at leisure. This evening, journey to a traditional Marae, a sacred meeting place. Prepare for the spine chilling “WERO”. “HONGI” with your hosts. Experience the unique culture of the Maori including fierce haka’s, action dances and stick games. Soon, delicious food will be served. (B, D)
Oct 9* ROTUROA – MATAMATA – AUCKLAND
Morning drive to Matamata to experience the real Middle-earth by visiting the Hobbiton Movie Set from the films The Lord of the Rings and the ‘Hobbit’ Trilogies. The tour starts with a drive through the picturesque sheep farm with spectacular views to the Kaimai Ranges. A guide will provide fascinating details of how the Hobbiton set was created. The Hobbit holes, Green Dragon Inn, Mill and other structures created for The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films can be viewed. Later, continue to Longlands Farm for a sumptuous barbecue lunch. Drive to Auckland known as the ‘City of Sails’. Auckland has spectacular natural features, including 49 dormant volcanoes. It is the world’s biggest Polynesian city. Dinner at a local restaurant. Oct 10* AUCKLAND
Start with a drive thru the city followed by a drive along the waterfront to Orakei & Mission Bay. Pass the inner city suburb of Parnell, restored in the old colonial style and the gardens of the Auckland Domain. Visit the Auckland War Memorial Museum with a guided tour to its unique Maori Court. In the afternoon, enjoy a sailboat cruise with views of the Harbour Bridge and the
beautiful Auckland harbour. Take the opportunity to try your hand at steering and trimming the sails or just sit back, relax and watch the experienced crew sail the vessel. Transfer to the hotel. (B)
