Robert Edward “Bob” Parrish, age 83, of Carrollton, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, 2019. Bob was born on September 10, 1936 to Ed and Edna Parrish in Asheboro, North Carolina. He married Nancy Bennett on July 7, 1957 in Chesterfield, South Carolina. He was a Southern Baptist Minister of 50 years following having served as a Firefighter with Greensboro, Fire Department in Greensboro, North Carolina. He served in the North Carolina National Guard from 1959-1963 as a Private, First Class.
Bob Parrish is survived by his wife, Nancy Parrish of Carrollton, TX; sons: Robert Edward Parrish II and wife, Crystal of Frisco, TX and Christopher Parrish and wife, Carisa of McKinney, TX; daughter, Debra DeJacimo and husband, Mike of Carrollton, TX; sister, Becky Hughes of Asheboro, NC; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother James Parrish of Charlotte, NC.
Funeral Service for Bob Parrish will be held at Stonebriar Community Church located at 4801 Legendary Dr., Frisco, TX 75034 on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will follow from 3:00-5:00 pm, also at Stonebriar Community Church. In Lieu of Flowers, the family asks that donations be considered to First Baptist Church of Carrollton at the Fields – Mission Fund. 1401 Carrollton Pkwy, Carrollton, TX 75010 or Camp Deaf c/o New Life Deaf Fellowship. 6917 Brentwood Stair Rd.
