For interpreters of all levels and students that want to practice critical thinking and ethical reasoning.
Participants will:
- familiarize themselves with the Code of Professional Conduct
- analyze an interpreting scenario, and identify which CPC tenets are involved with each opportunity for an ethical decision
- discuss possible solutions, and the implications to the parties involved
The Unfolding Scenarios provide an opportunity for both practitioners and students of interpreting to practice critical thinking and ethical reasoning across a variety of hypothetical interpreting assignments.
TSID is an Approved RID CMP Sponsor for Continuing Education Activities. This Professional Studies program is offered for 0.2 Ethics CEUs at the “Some Content Knowledge Level”.
During COVID, and due to the nature of the workshop, seating is limited. A waitlist will be issued if maximum capacity is reached.

It is apparent that we are all sick of looking at screens!
Earning CEUs has never been fun, and seems tedious. However, we are hoping to change that! Let’s make earning CEUs fun!
Participants will earn CEUs (typically 1-hour), and can spend the remaining time partaking in a fun event or adventure!
Events and adventures include: bowling, happy hours, billiards, distillery tours, bee keeping, game nights, axe throwing, etc. All CEU earning will happen on-site where the fun awaits!
