Deaf Seniors of Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex Community Workshop

Date: SATURDAY, February 19, 2022
Time: 10:00 am – 12:00 noon

Topic: “COVID-19 Vaccine Awareness”

Dr. IV Mirus, CODA and Parkland Emergency Room Physician.

Background: assistant professor of Emergency Medicine, Emergency Medicine physician at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center; resident physician at University of Rochester Emergency Medicine, Residency Program; studied at Texas A&M Health Science Center College Medicine; studied psychology at the University of Texas at Austin; and retired American Sign Language interpreter. As seen on The Daily Moth videos… This information will be presented in ASL.

Regardless of vaccination status, we require members and visitors to wear a mask amid the Omicron and COVID variants. In fact, hospitalization rates continue to be high in some locals everyday.

Upon a conclusion of Dr. Mirus’ speak, Community Council meeting and social will be held from
12:00n thru 2:00pm.

If LLUMC has some cancellations due to the increase in COVID-19 infections, DSDFWM accordingly will cancel the Community Workshop, meeting and social. DSDFWM members will be notified via email and/or Deaf Network of Texas.

for a meeting or community activity program. IMPORTANT: If bad weather closes DISD Schools, the LLUMC will close too.
