Upper School American Sign Language Teacher — Fort Wort, Texas
Hill School of Fort Worth is looking for a dynamic, hard-working educator to work with students who learn differently beginning with the 2022-2023 school year. Located in southwest Fort Worth, Hill School is a college preparatory, private school for K-12 students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, high-functioning ASD and other learning differences. Our dedicated faculty enjoy small-group instruction in core subject areas to ensure that all students have an opportunity to reach their full academic potential. Students also explore interests and affinities through athletics and fine arts.
This position reports directly to the Assistant Head of School and will work with students in grades 9-11 providing ASL instruction for classes limited to no more than 12 students. Our ideal candidate builds on a passion for learning, and provides for the student’s social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and moral growth — giving special attention to the mastery of the skills and concepts needed to be successful in sign language This person must be able to work collaboratively and communicate clearly, consistently and effectively with colleagues, students and families.
The ideal candidate should be personable, creative, flexible and possess a genuine love for learning and teaching. A sense of humor and instructional expertise are both a must. Experience preferred. This position requires an immediate start date.
