Who can attend?
Campers
- 14 – 22 years of age AND still in high school or post-secondary school
- DeafBlind
- Willing to have fun
- Have open TWC case
Volunteers Needed!
Interpreters & Volunteers please register as a volunteer! CN training is provided.
* JUNE 1, 2024 is reserved for SSP/CN training!

6.0 CEUs (RID PPO & BEI Ethics, pending) awarded for those who attend the duration of Camp, June 2-7th. Our gift to you.
Volunteers will develop skills for working with DeafBlind Youth and Mentors through direct training and mentorship.
The training is presented in a mix of PTL, ASL and English by the team of DBCTX trainers, hosted by Heather Pavey, Camp Director. Accommodations provided.

DB Community of TX (DBCTX)’s Summer Camp Junior 2024
DBCTX invites teens who are DeafBlind, 14-22 years old, and are still in high school or attending post-secondary school.
When??? Teens come to the camp June 2 – 7, 2024
We are looking for:
- More teens to join us!
- A few more co-navigators* to join us!
What is a co-navigator?
A person who works with a DB person to orient and navigate through their environment.
Why join us???
- You DB? Come and meet other teens who are the same as you.
- Meet new friends.
- Do you want to work with DeafBlind youth and adults?
- Take the opportunity to develop and practice CN skills.
- Volunteer with us, especially if you are interested in working with DDBHH youth, as a Deaf Support Specialist, and/or a grade-school ASL interpreter
- Gain new experience working with DB people.
Volunteer CN training is on June 1st and 2nd before the teens come!
