Texas Storytelling Festival Welcomes the Deaf Community

It’s the 40th annual Texas Storytelling Festival featuring over 10 hours of storytelling with ASL interpreters live at the Denton Civic Center on March 6-9, 2025 in Denton, Texas. Recommended for ages 10 and up.

This year we have Deaf storyteller Steve C. Baldwin, Ph.D., who will be telling on Sunday March 9th at 9: 30 am. He is a retired educator who has taught in five states, including 17 years at the Texas School for the Deaf. An award-winning writer, Steve authored Pictures in the Air: The Story of the National Theatre of the Deaf, I and II; wrote 30 produced plays, three documentaries and numerous articles; and serves as a community advocate.

All events free of charge for our Deaf community members.
