Job summary

The Director of Communication and Compliance is responsible for the continued development and implementation of the Center’s Dynamic Professional Interpreting service.

Summary of essential job functions

…Coordinate the scheduling of Interpreters;
…Provide direct interpreting services;
…Secure contracts with entities for the use of Dynamic Interpreters;
…Serve as the liaison with agencies and consumers;
…Coordinate and process billing;
…Develop and implement interpreter training opportunities for interpreters and customers;
…Work closely with the Director of VRI Services; and
…Coordinate and teach Sign Language Studies program.

Minimum requirements preferred
…Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Art
…5 Years experience in the field of Deafness
…Hold national certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf
…3 Years managerial experience

…Can produce successful results in high pressure situations

…Excellent problem solving skills
