Two more research subjects are needed to participate in a research project involving the use of the face in American Sign Language.

Volunteers will need to take an estimated 2 hours of their time: one hour signing for a videotape, and one hour viewing videotapes and choosing which emotion was conveyed by the signer: was the signer happy, sad, neutral, or surprised, in your opinion? $50 will be provided as a thank you for participation.

Qualifications: Volunteers need to be Deaf with Deaf parents, age 18 or older, and need to be fluent in American Sign Language, signing since a young age. Only two more people are needed: the first two eligible subjects to volunteer will be accepted, and then no further volunteers will be needed.

Interested in being involved in a study that will further the understanding of this rich language and will allow researchers to better understand what is communicated through the face in ASL?

Days, evenings, and weekends are available to fit your schedule. Meet at the central library of the University of Texas at Arlington, with free parking.
