Josh Need Your Support!
Dear friends and family,
We are writing to you with some very exciting news. Our son, Joshua
Hill, has been nominated and accepted to participate in the
People-to-People Student Ambassadors program. This program was
established 53 years ago, in 1956, by former President Dwight
Eisenhower. The program sends students from different parts of the
world to study together. He believed this was a way for them to learn
to live together in peace.
Josh’s group will be going to France, Italy, and Greece where they
will have special tour access. He will travel for 20 days, visiting
and studying the most famous landmarks and art treasures of Europe.
Josh will meet with kids from other countries, experiencing new
sights, sounds, tastes, and cultures.
Joshua is an eighth grade student in the gifted program at Spence
Middle school in Dallas, Texas. He is first chair trumpet in band. He
has done volunteer work at Woodrow Wilson high school as an assistant
sign language interpreter for wrestling, and the freshman, junior
varsity and varsity football programs. He was also a sideline
assistant for the varsity football team in 2008. Josh also volunteers
in a community gardening program that provides fresh organic produce
to food pantry programs. He is active in his Sunday School group at
Unity Church of Dallas.. His hobbies are basketball and playing the
electric bass guitar.
We are raising $8,500 to pay for Joshua’s program travel expenses,
items to enrich his experience, and some spending money.
We are asking people to help us raise the money by sending us
contributions and letting us know if you know of individuals,
businesses, or organizations in your area that would donate money to
Joshua’s worthy cause.
We need donations as soon as possible, because we have to make
payments in installments and the full amount is due May 1, 2009.
We are asking for donations of $75 and up.

true. We know he will be a great ambassador for the family, his
community, America, and world peace.
