Expressive Interpreting

HEART OF TEXAS INTERPRETERS FOR THE DEAF EXPRESSIVE INTERPRETING Presented
by Kent Kennedy Kent Kennedy is a division director of CSD of Texas. He
works with Deaf Resources Specialists, Hearing Loss Resource Specialist,
Equipment Distribution Program Manager, Senior Citizens Program Manager
which are funded by Office for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services of the
Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services/ Division for
Rehabilitation Services.

Kennedy was voted as the 30th NAD President in 2002. He served two terms as
vice president of the Association. His principal duties during the two terms
included the development of the NAD State Association Handbook, oversight of
the NAD Policy Manual, and participation in the development of NAD Strategic
Goals. Kennedy also served two terms as president of the Texas Association
of the Deaf (TAD) and chaired the 1992-93 Symposiums on Deaf and Hard of
Hearing Texans. He works with Communication Workshops Skills since 1997 as
well. He has continued to teach different classes under Austin Sign Language
School since 1991.
