“Jeopardy!! Game on ADA specializing in Deaf/Hard of Hearing”

If you don’t think that participating in Jeopardy!! game on ADA would be fun
and beneficial, answer the questions below:

1) Have you ever been confused about what ADA really says about who provides
an interpreter or other auxiliary aid/service?
2) Does a private doctor’s office have to employ at least 15 employees
before providing an interpreter or other auxiliary aid/service?
3) Does a Social Security office have to follow ADA?
4) Under the ADA, are employers required to pay for interpreters or other
auxiliary aid/service for their Deaf/hard of hearing employees?
5) Does ADA apply to a public college/university only, not a private one?

If you answer “Yes” to at least one of the above questions, come to my
training to find out and to have fun learning through playing Jeopardy!!
game. The training would empower you to learn how to self-advocate as a Deaf
or Hard of Hearing individual. The training is scheduled and located at:

The Speaker-

Brian Determan, an ASL-native deaf individual, serves as the Deafness
Resource Specialist 7A, through Communication Axess Ability Group, for a
program funded by Texas DARS (Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative
Services) – Office for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services. He works with
various agencies and service providers regarding their access obligations
under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act. His
training will empower deaf or hard of hearing individuals with knowledge of
their civil rights and how to self-advocate.

Accommodations for participants such as real time captioning (C.A.R.T.) or
sign to voice interpreter services must be requested by Friday, April 9,
