You’re invited to apply to D.E.A.F’s upcoming Building a Profitable Small Business workshop in full ASL!
Business Building Workshop in American Sign Language
Deaf Entrepreneurs of America Foundation (D.E.A.F) will be conducting an 8 week workshop on building a profitable small business in full ASL beginning on March 3, 2011. The workshop will focus on training participants to start a small business and get clients. This workshop is being offered at no cost to 15 Deaf entrepreneurs courtesy of our sponsors the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the North Texas Minority Chamber of Commerce (NTMCC).
Participants will need to pay $50.00 to cover their training materials. To qualify for this workshop, you must meet one of the following requirements (proof required):
Thanks to our sponsors we have we have 15 available seats for our next workshop beginning 3-3-11. The training (valued at $1299.99) is being provided at no cost to selected participants. Each participant will need to pay for their course materials ($50.00 – software and workbook).
To be selected you must meet one of the following requirements (with provided proof):
* Have an assumed name certificate for your business or
* Have a business website or
* Have a product out service you can offer now or
* Have a business outline or
* Have a computer at home with internet access
Please Note: If you are selected to attend the workshop you will be contacted by email with the details and location.
Selected participants must be able to do the following:
* Complete a business plan
* Set up a business bank account
* Attend every class – no absences
* Complete an evaluation at the end of the workshop
Seating is limited to only 15 participants. Participants who meet the requirements will be selected on a first come first serve basis.
