Workshop: 9/31/11 – 10/1/11
TASBID’s annual 1.0 CEUs Interpreter Training workshop will be the weekend
of September 30 – October 1, 2011.
“Becoming a well-rounded Church Interpreter”, presented by Connie Miller,
will focus on the various aspects of Church Interpreting. Topics will
include 3 hours of church interpreter ethics along with 7 hours on various
ways to improve your deaf ministry and how to overcome challenges you may
face.
We will examine English church phrases and how to interpret them into ASL.
There will be a sharing of church interpreting resources.
CEUs are being applied for.
Latham Springs Retreat Center is a camp with the cost (under $100.00)
covering the dorm sleeping arrangement and 3 meals. Details will follow.
Due to space limitations, preregistration will be required.
