Good morning/afternoon. I am calling from Houston Center for Independent
Living (HCIL). We’re calling with a reminder that we are holding our next
HCIL Consumer Housing Council meeting on Wednesday, November 9th, from
1:00-3:00 p.m. Our guest speaker will be John Henneberger, the Director of
the Texas Low Income Housing Information Service in Austin, Texas. John is a
long time advocate and will be speaking about how their program educates
people about housing programs and resources, and empowers people to take the
initiative to change their community to create more decent, affordable
housing for Texans. He will also discuss current issues in Texas and
nationally that will affect how we are able to live.
