Narrative:
This workshop will play with the English language and how it is expressed in ASL. Idioms and cliché’s are commonplace in the English language and often present a challenge to express. We will share our understanding of these forms of language, how we present the meaning in ASL, and maintain the “flavor” while expanding to include the concept. We will focus on the meaning of the idiom/cliché, signing, receptive/voicing skills and feedback, as well as filming and sharing our signs used via DVD.
