Why Some People Do Not Want to be Defined As “Hearing Impaired”

The term “hearing impaired” are commonly used to define people with
hearing loss but some people don’t want to be identified this way.
According to the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication
Disorders, 2 – 3 American children out of 1,000 are born with mild to
profound hearing loss and approximately 36 million American adults
report that they have some difficulties hearing…..
