DHHS finishes with Needs Assessment for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Communities throughout the State

Over the last several months Lori Breslow, Director of Office for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (DARS/DHHS) and DHHS staff have been travelling to communities throughout Texas to listen to the deaf and hard of hearing communities about their concerns, their hopes and their needs.

With the San Antonio Needs Assessment now completed, Lori will now compile all the information provided to help DARS and DHHS to prioritize those concerns/needs and develop a plan of action.

DHHS would like to take this final opportunity to thank those agencies which partnered with DHHS in each city where a meeting was held by providing food and beverages for those attending.
Those agencies are:

Communication Axcess Ability Group (CAAG)
Communication by Hand (CbH)
Purple Communications
Sorenson Communications
Visual Communication Services (VCS)
ZVRS
