DEAF SERVICES Counselor – $17,250/year (Part-Time)
Responsible for intake, clinical/risk assessment and counseling for Deaf, hard of hearing, and Deaf/blind adult and child survivors of sexual and domestic violence and their families. Counselor will provide intake, crisis intervention, individual, group and family counseling as needed.
Requirements: Life experience or extensive knowledge of deaf culture. Knowledge of human development, family systems and appropriate therapy modalities for sexual and domestic violence survivors required. Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field strongly preferred. Half-time position (20 hrs. per week) includes working 1 evening per week. Nonresidential counseling setting. Must be fluent in American Sign Language. Bicultural encouraged to apply.
