The October monthly educational and fellowship meeting of P.I.P. (Positive Interaction Program) for the Deaf community of Houston will be held on Tuesday, October 1st.  P.I.P. is an informal meeting between the Houston Police Department and the Deaf community to share educational learning and information.  It is also a outlet for the Deaf to share their concern about any issue that might have happen between a Deaf person and an officer.  Two regular officers of HPD will listen to your concerns and answer question with the goal of finding solutions and resolutions.

The meetings are always held at Woodhaven Deaf Baptist Church located at 9920 Long Point Drive, Houston, Texas 77055 and begin at 7:30pm.

This months presentation will be for the "BackDoor Program".  This informative presentation will outline how the NextDoor Program makes it easy to communicate with your neighbors about issues that matter most in your community.  Are you concern about crime and gang activities in your neighborhood?  If so, come to the meeting and learn how it is possible for all of us to watch out for each other and help the police control all crime.

Certified interpreters and a CART operator will be on hand. There will be refreshments served and door prizes drawn.  Most of all, you will have a great time fellowshiping with other members of the Deaf community.
