TBCD Conference is hosting interpreter workshop and more – Tyler

Texas Association of Southern Baptist Interpreters for the Deaf TASBID, along with Texas Baptist Conference for the Deaf TBCD and the Baptist General Convention of Texas BGCT host workshop on Saturday June 21, 2014

As interpreters who work in religious settings, specifically church settings, it is even more imperative we follow Code of Professional Conduct. We will do some ‘self-examinations’ to find where our hearts are- if there are things we need to change and how to begin to change; how to be an effective team and give appropriate feedback while respecting each other; and how to take care of ourselves. Basic Biblical principles, the Code of Professional Conduct and a little bit of counseling will be incorporated.

TASBID- Texas Association of Southern Baptist Interpreters for the Deaf welcomes Rhonda McKinze for a 3 hour. Workshop on Saturday, June 21, at Calvary Baptist Church, Tyler, Texas.

Registration cost is $25. If you would like to stay for lunch, add +$5.00. Evening banquet will celebrate TBCD TX Baptist Conference for the Deaf’s 65th Anniversary. Banquet cost +$15.
