MARY’S CHURCH where he preached and CASTLE CHURCH where he hung his 95 theses, visit MARTIN LUTHERS TOMB, free time to explore Market Square, continue to Spreewald to take a FLAT BOTTOMED BOAT CRUISE along Spreewald village Lehde into the romantic Hochwald, visit of the OPEN AIR MUSEUM which provides a display of the traditional houses, historic costumes, boat building, pickling of gherkins and historic handicrafts, arrive in Dresden, enjoy an included dinner tonight (B, D)

Dresden – situated on the shores of the Elbe, Dresden has a rich history as the capital and royal residence for the Kings of Saxony where culture and art have flourished in past centuries, morning sightseeing tour includes the FRAUENKIRCHE, built by August the Strong, Dresden Castle, Semper Opera house and Raphael’s Sistine Madonna in the OLD MASTERS PICTURE GALLERY
adjoining the renowned ZWINGER PALACE, afternoon visit of the GRUENES GEWOELBE renowned as one of the richest treasure chambers in Europe, dinner is included at a local restaurant tonight (B, D)

May 29 Dresden – Moritzburg – Meissen – Dresden
Drive to Moritzburg famous for its horse breeding and carp farming, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of the town and the STABLES OF THE STATE STUD MORITZBURG, headquarters of the Saxon Stud Administration, then take the NARROW GAUGE STEAM RAILWAY to MEISSEN for some free time to shop and enjoy, afterwards join your guide for sightseeing including the Albrechtsburg, the historical district, the FRAUENKIRCHE and the MEISEEN PORCELAIN FACTORY, end the day with a leisurely WINE-TASTING and dinner at Vincenz Richter, return to your hotel in Dresden (B, D)

June 1 Nuremburg – Rothenburg – Munich

June 2 Munich

June 4 Lindau – Black Forest

June 5 Black Forest – Heidelberg – Frankfurt
Drive deeper into the Black Forest, stop for a WOODCARVING DEMONSTRATION followed by a delicious piece of Black Forest Cake, arrive in Heidelberg, Germany’s oldest university town, stroll around in the Old Town and ride the FUNICULAR up the hill and visit the red-walled CASTLE where the GREAT VAT, a 58,000-gallon 18th-century wine cask attracts particular attention,drive to Frankfurt where a special farewell dinner with wine awaits you at a local restaurant to say, “Auf Wiedersehen!” (B, D)
