Intro to Deaf Culture and ASL Basics: Winter 2016 – DFW

We have a few seats left. If you have a friend, coworker, or family member that you would like to learn more about Deaf life than just sign language, this is the class to invite them to attend. We educate people about Audism, Deaf Can, Deaf history, manners, plus basic conversational ASL Wednesday evenings beginning January 13, 2016 – May 11, 2016 at 6:45 pm until 8:15 pm. How do WE do that?

We have great community volunteers who are interested in developing opportunities for students to learn about what living the “Deaf Life” means. Students become more enthusiastic about learning and how they can partner with persons in the Deaf community to create positive changes and more opportunities in the workplace and other settings.

This course is provided as a community outreach, a $25 fee is charged to cover cost of the text and supplies only. Please contact 817-232-8210 for additional information.
