Narrative:
This workshop will focus on Medical Ethics in the form of HIPAA training, as well as delve into our CPC, focusing on Tenet 2.0 “Professionalism,” with an expansion of Tenet 2.6, to judiciously share information and referrals. We will enhance our knowledge of applicable laws and referral information, so that we might impart this information, as required, in an effort to educate/inform, for a more accessible atmosphere and/or empower the Deaf client to advocate for themselves.
Learning Objectives –

  1. To comply with HIPAA requirements
  2. To examine CPC (Tenet) 2.0 Professionalism and contrast the Meta-Ethical perspectives of the attendees.
  3. To focus and expand on CPC 2.6, identify the laws and regulations that apply to 2.6, discuss scenarios where knowledge and sharing of these laws and regulations would benefit and empower the Deaf client
