Sam Harris, the presenter of this webinar and a Communication Access Specialist with the Office of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services, has interviewed for various positions within the marketing, product development, creative, technology, service and retail industries. As a job seeker who is deaf, Sam has mastered self-advocating for services such as interpreters, when and how to disclose a hearing loss to a potential employer, and steps to prepare for an interview as well as follow-up tasks. Olivia Rains, Communication Access Specialist, is an individual with hearing loss. Her work experience began as a Hearing Loss Resource Specialist with ODHHS. Her journey then took her to a nonprofit state program, Texas Technology Access Program, serving all disabilities with outreach and assistive technology. Her skills and background include training, assistive technology demonstrations and assessments, advocacy, presentations, networking, outreach, marketing and more. Join Olivia’s webinar and develop a better understanding of what will work for you in your next interview while navigating your hearing loss.
