| May 4, 2022 | BARCELONA – EXCURSION TO MONTSERRAT – BARCELONA Join an excursion to the mountain Montserrat, home to the Benedictine monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat. You’ll ride a funicular to the top of the mountain. You’ll see the famous Black Madonna sculpture, which sits at the back of the church, above the altar area. (B) |

| May 5, 2022 | BARCELONA – NIMES, FRANCE – EMBARKATION IN AVIGNON Check out of the hotel and board the TGV high-speed train to Nimes. Then you will transfer via motorcoach to Avignon where you’ll board your luxury ship. (B,D) |

| May 6, 2022 | ARLES – AVIGNON Join a walking tour of Arles highlighting top sights. Afterwards, venture to the medieval hilltop village, Les Baux de Provence, followed by a visit to an olive farm where you’ll sample the olive oil. | May 9, 2022 | TOURNON Admire the hilltop village of Tournon with its imposing castle. Take a train ride past magnificent landscape, stopping at the charming little station of Colombier le Vieux-Saint Barthelemy le Plain, where the train maneuvers in preparation for its return journey. (B,L,D) |

| May 10, 2022 | VIENNE – LYON Situated between the wine regions of Beaujolais and Cotes du Rhone lies Vienne with its Roman past. On a walking tour, see the Augustus and Livia Temple, Saint Maurice Cathedral, and St. Pierre Abbey. For the more active, take a guided bike tour along a portion of the ViaRhona bike route. Later, travel to Lyon, considered the “Food Capital of France.” Take a walking tour that starts in Fourviere Hill, continue to the old town of Lyon, followed by a guided walk through the St. Jean district. You can also visit the famous indoor market hall Les Halles de Lyon where you’ll have a chance to sample the delicacies offered by butchers, bakers, chocolatiers and cheesemongers. (B,L,D) |
