Transcript: We Can Help You Get Your Vaccines (ASL)

Here’s a health message from Disability Rights Texas:

Don’t let COVID-19 or any other virus keep you down this year. Vaccines protect your health and your freedom.

The new shots for flu, COVID-19 and other viruses are now available. Ask your doctor when you should get the new COVID-19 vaccine and if you need to get it more than once a year.

The cost of many vaccines are covered by private insurance. If you don’t have health insurance, public health departments can provide vaccines for free.

Also, the COVID-19 vaccine is available for free at pharmacies and other providers that are part of the national Bridge Access Program. Visit vaccine.gov to find a vaccine provider near you and for a list of places that are in the Bridge program.

If you want to get your updated vaccines for COVID-19, flu and other viruses but are facing barriers because of your disability, Disability Rights Texas (DRTx) can help.
