Longview man pleads to 30 years for 2022 murder

LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) – A Longview man is going to prison after pleading guilty to murder Monday.
Michael Lee Ralston, 51, was arrested on March 30, 2022, on charges of murder and aggravated assault after Eric Matthew Wynns, 44, of Longview, was found shot to death. On Monday, Ralston pleaded guilty to both charges and received concurrent sentences of 30 years for murder and 20 years for assault.
In the original case, another victim was found at the home on the 100 block of East Nelson Street where Wynns was killed. They were taken to a hospital to be treated for their stab wounds.
Ralston will be eligible for parole after serving half his sentence.
