Disability and Disaster Resiliance 2/9/11 – Austin
Disability and Disaster Resiliance meeting in Austin…open to public
ASL intepreter provided
Hey everyone,
I’d like to inform you that there will be a public meeting (anyone can
attend) that will discuss how the State provides emergency alerts and
information for citizens of Texas…
This is our chance to be seen and heard to support and advocate for ASL
access.

I know this sounds like an advertisement for Deaf Link and AHAS but
seriously this is more about….ASL access….and so far I know of no other
company that can provide the type of delivery in ASL like AHAS-IN can do…
I’d like to invite you to attend this really important meeting..(interperter
will be provided by Vital Signs; our request for interpreter was denied by
State because “last minute” request)..
here’s the address:
Senate Committee on Transportation and Homeland Secuity
Sam Houston Building, Room 450 (the room has been moved as they are
anticipating many deaf to attend; someone will be there to redirect you to
appropriate room)
201 East 14th Street
Austin TX 78701
Time: 515 pm to 615 pm
If any one from San Antonio would like a ride, let me know I can take up to
3 people in my car… please spread the word to others in Austin area that
you know to attend and stand up for ASL access..thanks y’all..
Cheers, God bless.
