WHY: Bradley Porche’s presentation, centered on the basis of Al
Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth”, uncovers scientific issues and
facts detailing the global climate crisis and offers solutions to curb
this alarming trend.

Porche, 28 has presented on this controversial subject to audiences
across the country, which fast-forwarded to the media forefront in
2006 following the release of Gore’s Academy Award winning film.

“The Climate Project (TCP)” consists of over 1,000 dedicated
volunteers from throughout the United States, like Porche, who are
trained to educate the public about climate change. TCP aims to raise
awareness of fellow citizens about this crisis and inform communities
about potential solutions and actions one can take to preserve the
climate balance on which our planet depends. Porche’s involvement
began after first seeing Gore’s documentary himself. He felt an
immediate urgency and was then inspired to act and help spread the
message to educate the public.

The Texas School for the Deaf (TSD) is proud to host Mr. Porche’s
presentation, open to the public, on April 22 at 10:00 AM, in American
Sign Language (ASL), and voice interpreted for all audiences. Ashley
Ortego, Staff Development and Certification Specialist at TSD, who has
arranged for Porche’s visit, says “TSD feels it is of critical
importance to bring this message to students and the community at
large so we can all learn what we can do, even in our daily lives, to
be an active contributor for positive global change.”

With TSD’s educational excellence and a strong belief in culture
and community, students form a unique identity based on their
individual strengths and talents, rather than their disabilities. TSD
is an environment where students learn, grow, and belong. For more
