Training opportunities. Both trainings take place June 11-15, 2011 at the
Southwest Collegiate Institute for the Deaf (SWCID) in Big Spring, Texas.

Tri-Lingual Interpreter Training: This training focuses on intensive
sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign trilingual interpreting. All participants
will be screened for knowledge of Spanish and must verify their ASL skills;
BEI or RID/NIC certification is preferred. Those without ASL interpreter
certification will be screened for ASL skills. The screenings will ensure
proper placement for the weeklong training and enhancement of Tri-lingual
interpreting skills. All screenings must be completed by May 11. Training is
limited to 50 participants.
