Whether you are taking your BEI Exam May 20 or 21 or Just want a short immersion experience in a safe environment. . . Join Us! (Space is limited to 40)
 
* Our Version of “Deaf Deaf World”
* Mini-Workshops (ASL Interpreting, Voicing, Transliterating, Fingerspelling/#’s, NMS/CL, MLS, Sports Signs)
* ASL Movie – Title TBD
* Participant/Deaf Community Talent Show
* Record Your Work in the ASL Lab; Meet in small groups with mentors
* Stress Reduction Information
* Food and Fun Activities
* Goody Bag & T-Shirt

1.5 Hr. Mini-Workshops (Fingerspelling/#’s, CL/NMS)
Sports Signs

Silent Pizza Supper Provided
7:00 p.m. – ASL Movie (Title TBD) – Deaf Community Invited
 
WEDNESDAY
8:30 a.m. – Continental Breakfast
9:00 a.m. – 3 Hr. Mini-Workshops (ASL Interpreting (3 hr) & Receptive Interpreting (3 hr)
Box Lunches Provided – Choose Ham, Turkey or Veggie on Registration Form
3 Hr. Mini-Workshops Continued
Fun Activity
5 – 7 p.m. – Dinner on Your Own
7 – 10 p.m. – “Hand Jive” – Talent Show (Sign up Tue – ASL skit or interpreted song individual or group) – Deaf Community Invited
 
THURSDAY
8:30 a.m. – Continental Breakfast
9:00 a.m. – 1. 5 hr. Mini-Workshops (Trasliterating & Minimal Language Skills )
Lunch – On Your Own
3 Sessions – Choose:
ASL Lab – Record Your Work 12 people at a time (Sign up Tue for time slot) Bring your flash drive
Apache Relaxation Room (Healthy Snacks & Stress Reduction Information)
Meet with a Mentor in a small group of 12 (Sign up Tue for time slot)
5:30 p.m. Meet in Apache Rooms for Wrap Up
*Turn in Feedback forms and receive Certificate, Goody Bag & T-Shirt
 
Also, remember "Laugh Your Boots Off" and Open House March 19, plus East Texas Games for the Deaf March 26 – ASL Clubs  and Deaf Clubs invited to compete.
