Deaf Chef Apprentice
Deaf Chef Apprentice is an amazingly fun-filled learning weekend in Aspen, Colorado, for deaf and hard-of-hearing adults, May 26-30, 2011. When Aspen throws a party, they come to Randy Placeres–on the Aspen Camp of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing board of trustees—renowned chef for the Food and Wine Classics in Aspen and South Beach, Florida. He and the camp team are planning hands-on learning experiences taught by expert chefs. The weekend culminates with the Deaf Chef Apprentice team highlighting their newest culinary skills at the Aspen Club and Spa’s Nutrition Restaurant for 80 camp guests.
The camp team chooses 12 to 15 participants from across the nation. Interpreters will be provided for all sessions. The fee of $349 includes all sessions, a trip to Glenwood Hot Springs, food, lodging and transportation to and from camp events. Come discover your talents, enjoy Aspen in the spring and make new friends. Registration forms are available at http://www.aspencamp.org. Deadline for registration is May 13, 2011.
