After breakfast, admire the city’s beautiful centuries-old homes and picturesque churches on a guided canal boat tour. Then enjoy a panoramic city tour of Amsterdam, including a photo stop at a windmill once painted by Rembrandt, followed by free time to explore on your own. The ship departs early afternoon and cruises overnight. (B,L,D)
July 17, 2015 COLOGNE – KOBLENZ
This morning, arrive in Cologne for a guided walking tour through the old part of the city and a visit to its 13th-century Gothic cathedral. The ship will depart for Koblenz around lunchtime, arriving this evening. Feel free to go ashore and enjoy an evening walk with your Cruise Manager. The ship moors in Koblenz overnight. (B,L,D)
July 18, 2015 RUEDESHEIM
Cruise through the magnificent Rhine Gorge early this morning, passing by numerous castles and the legendary Lorelei Rock. After lunch, arrive in Ruedesheim and take a mini train to Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum. Explore the Drosselgasse, a narrow alley lined with wine taverns, and other sights during your free time. Late this afternoon, the ship departs for Miltenberg. (B,L,D)
July 19, 2015 MILTENBERG – WERTHEIM
Arrive in Miltenberg late morning for a walking tour of this delightful old town, with its narrow cobblestone streets and steeply gabled houses. During lunch, the ship will cruise to Freudenberg. A motor-coach will take you to Wertheim, where you will see the historic city center and have free time to explore on your own. Rejoin the ship and cruise overnight en route to Wurzburg. (B,L,D)
July 20, 2015 WUERZBURG – KITZINGEN
This morning, take a guided tour of Wuerzburg showing you all of the major sights or visit the Residenz Palace and gardens, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Europe’s best examples of Baroque architecture. This afternoon, take an optional excursion along the Romantic Road to medieval Rothenburg. The ship arrives this evening in Kitzingen, where you may enjoy an evening walk and wine tasting at Germany’s oldest wine cellar. Late tonight, the ship departs for Bamberg. (B,L,D)
July 21, 2015 BAMBERG
Arrive this afternoon in enchanting Bamberg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993. Disembark for a guided walking tour of this medieval gem and see the breathtaking cathedral, the Old Town Hall that straddles the river, the city’s serpentine streets, and elegant 18th-century mansions. Sample some of Bamberg’s famous smoked beer before continuing your cruise this evening to Nuremberg. (B,L,D)
July 22, 2015 NUREMBERG
This morning, you may opt for the “Medieval Nuremberg” tour and see the city’s 900-year- old ramparts and the Imperial Castle. After lunch, the ship passes through the Main-Danube Canal to Hilpoltstein, Europe’s Continental Divide and highest point (1,332 feet above sea level), then starts descending through stair-step locks. We will continue to cruise overnight. (B,L,D)
July 23, 2015 REGENSBURG
A guided morning tour will show you the city’s architectural highlights, including the Old Town Hall and the Porta Praetoria, gates to a Roman fort built in 179 AD. The ship departs this evening for Austria. (B,L,D)
July 24, 2015 PASSAU, AUSTRIA – LINZ
After breakfast, arrive in picturesque Passau for a walking tour. This 2,000-year-old city is noted for its Gothic and Italian Baroque architecture. As you walk the cobblestone streets of the Old Town, you will see the old city fortifications and St. Stephan’s Cathedral, home to the largest pipe organ in the world. Those staying on board can enjoy a scenic journey to Linz, Austria. We arrive in Linz this evening and depart around midnight. (B,L,D)
July 25, 2015 MELK – DUERNSTEIN
Cruise through the narrow Strudengau and reach the Wachau Valley early this morning. A guided tour takes you to Melk’s magnificent Benedictine Abbey, one of Europe’s largest Baroque monasteries. After lunch, enjoy a scenic cruise through the lovely Wachau Valley and arrive in Duernstein mid-afternoon. There, you will see the blue facade of the Baroque Stiftskirche and the castle ruins where Richard the Lionhearted was once imprisoned, high above the town. You will also enjoy a wine tasting of several different wines. The ship moors in Duernstein until the early hours of the morning. (B,L,D)

The ship docks in Vienna this morning. Savor the sights of romantic Vienna during your guided tour today, which includes such sights as the Opera House, the Ringstrasse, and St. Stephen’s Cathedral. The afternoon is free to explore on your own. As an alternative, join an optional excursion to the Imperial Schoenbrunn Palace. Tonight, explore the vibrant Austrian capital on your own, or join an optional Mozart and Strauss concert. The ship moors overnight. (B,L,D)
July 27, 2015 VIENNA – BRATISLAVA, SLOVAKIA
Enjoy a morning of scenic cruising to Bratislava, arriving early afternoon. A walking tour of the city’s major sights includes the Old Town Hall, Mirbach Palace and St. Martin’s Cathedral. This morning, your sightseeing tour takes you to historic Buda Castle, where you will enjoy a splendid view of the twin cities of Buda and Pest.
